About Me:
I provide executive oversight of NSTA's new Services Division that include our conferences, competitions, SciLinks, e-learning portal, professional programs such as the New Science Teachers Academy and summer academies such as the Mickelson Institutes. Facilitate collaboration with our partners, such as NSF, NASA, NOAA, FDA, and foundations such as GE and ExxonMobil. Manage annual budget in excess of $6M and grants to date in excess of $36M. Lead an outstanding team of 28 individuals across the division. Suite of e-PD offerings constitute online short courses, web seminars, asynchronous learning objects, and most recently MOOCs with MIT via the edX platform. our Learning Center has over 140 blended deployments with district and state departments of education, and universities across the United States.
