About Me:

I’m an Assistant Professor and Mentor of Science, Math and Technology for the Center for Distance Learning (CDL) at the SUNY-Empire State College, where I mentor and teach a variety of courses in science and technology. I received my Ph.D. from Northwestern University. My scholarly interests focus on effective practices in adult, distance and online learning including the use of virtual environments such as Second Life, social and media environments, multimedia maps, mobile learning and the use of scientific datasets to promote active learning.
