About Me:
In my work life, I am the professional development manager for Facing the Future, a nonprofit organization/NGO based in Seattle, USA. I conduct professional development workshops for pre-service, in-service, and non-formal educators, manages the peer educator program, and supports other outreach and program efforts. I have presented at conferences held by Asia Society, ASCD, NAAEE, NCTM, NCSS, and NSTA and also I consult with schools, districts and educational organizations nationwide. I have taught 1st and 2nd grades at K-8 and elementary schools in the Seattle area. I have also worked as a land use planner and as a volunteer small claims court mediator. I received my MEd from Antioch University Seattle and my BA from Huxley College at Western Washington University. I have also studied conflict resolution at the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
