About Me:
Jane Taylor, aka H-Town Robot Diva, is the Founder and President of Bot Shop LLC. Born and raised in Houston, Texas I have been involved in the Houston’s educational and competitive robotics community for over 13 years as a coach, mentor, and sponsor and has been instrumental in the growth of our regional robotics community. Through my Professional Learning Series for Educators and TECH IT OUT Robotics Camps for kids, I am on a mission to use robots as a vehicle to expose learners to a hands-on, inquiry-based experience with science, technology, engineering and mathematics that contribute to academic gain. My company specializes in partnering with school districts, private/charter schools and informal learning organizations to develop innovative best practice in teaching and implementing robotics effectively in way that brings the best out of their learners. As a certified LEGO Education Academy trainer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel the country teaching hundreds of educators and learning communities to effectively use LEGO Education Robotics products to jump start their STEM programs.
