About Me:

Growing up in the wonderful and intriguing city of Chicago, I grew up knowing that education was the key to success. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago with a grandmother who taught at a CPS high school for 30 plus years. Moving along, I graduated from graduate school (Carnegie Mellon University) and entered a very rewarding government consulting career. Although rewarding, not enough for my heart to feel a passion for a long term consulting career. I learned through my involvement with youth in and around the city, that it was time for me to pursue my hidden passion for teaching. With my background in the Sciences (Biology) from undergraduate, I moved into the classroom and found this everlasting piece of heaven when I am working with or for children from my beloved city.
