About Me:

I am Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the STEM Education Centre (STEM-Z). The STEM-Z was established to the implementation of the African Union’s Addis Ababa Declaration on Science, Technology and Scientific Research for Development of January 2007. In addition, I am Senior Lecturer of Chemistry at the Zambian Open University. I was awarded the Lee Kimche McGrath Worldwide Fellowship, 2011 of the Association of Science and Technology Centers. I have thirty six (36) years of professional scientific, executive management, government relations and international development co-operation experience. From 2003 – 2009, I was Executive Director, National institute of Scientific and Industrial Research. I have facilitated and convened a number of courses, workshops and conferences. In addition, I have represented Zambia in various international and intergovernmental forums.

    Honor to meet you in this conference. We both have a fond love for Africa and particular for Zambia. I have even writen a photo book about it.

    On Lusaka I did workshop in Lusaka High School on our UNESCO digital story telling project "I am Africa. This is my story..." http://i-am-the-story.ning.com.

    During that time i met with Ministry of Education and the Chiefs of Zambia. Our proposal was to build Coomunity Development Centers that integrated local business with Adult Learning. Lusaka High School mention we should build one on thier land. Here is the concept of that proposal for Somaliland University of Technology.
