About Me:
Natasha has been working in education and youth oriented programs since 1996. She has a keen interest in global citizenship and social justice. Her varied experiences include training teachers on Global Citizenship curriculum in K-12 schools in New York City; facilitating the Summit on Global Education in Seattle, WA, working at South Asia Centre at the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, and as Academic Coordinator at an International School in rural West Bengal. She was a past participant in the Ship for World youth program which ignited her passion for international travel and education. She is also a past coordinator of the Global Visions Film Festival in Edmonton, where she was born and raised. She has a BA in Asian Studies specializing in Japanese history, a B Ed in Secondary Social Studies, International and Intercultural Education, and is currently finishing up an MA in Comparative & International Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
