About Me:

Sally Holl is a Geographer for the USGS Texas Water Science Center in Austin and former science educator in California public schools. Her passion is investing in people through Geographic Information Science, water resources research, and secondary science education. She holds a Master of Science in Hydrogeology from University of Texas at Austin and a Secondary Science Teaching Certificate from Cal State Fullerton. Her current work involves helping to make research data discoverable and accessible for the Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative. She also manages development of the myScience web application which aims to build a community of practice among USGS scientists and to increase public engagement in USGS citizen science projects.
